Prof. Dr. Mateusz Otręba


President of the International Jury

Mateusz Otręba was born in 1971, he lives in Cracow, Poland.
Otręba studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and graduated with honors from the Screen Process Studio under the supervision of Professor Andrzej Pietsch. He participated in many exhibitions of graphics and drawings in Poland and abroad including the International Triennial of Graphic Arts in Tczew and the International Print Triennial Jyväskylä “Graphica Creativa” (Finland). He is professor of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Krakow and is Member of the Board IX of the International Print Triennial Society in Kraków, Poland.

Dr. Alexandra Stäheli


Stähli was born in 1969, she lives in Basel, Switzerland.
Stäheli studied art history, history, German literature and philosophy in Basel, Switzerland, and in Berlin, Germany. She was awarded her PhD for her doctoral thesis on “Jean-François Lyotard and Postmodern Thinking in Fine Arts and Philosophy” at University of Zurich. After teaching for more than ten years on media theory, semiotics, film history and philosophy at FHNW Academy of Art and Design in Basel and ZHDK in Zurich, she worked as a freelance journalist and editor at the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung. She organized various events and panels in the field of Swiss and German literature. Stäheli joined the cultural department of Christoph Merian Stiftung in Basel and is currently the Head of Atelier Mondial - International Arts Exchange Program Basel, Mulhouse and Freiburg.

Li Kang


Li Kang was born in 1975, he lives in Heilongjiang, China.
Li Kang graduated as Master of Fine Arts from Faculty of Printmaking of China Central Academy of Fine Arts. Currently, he is the director of China Guanlan Original Printmaking Base and China Printmaking Museum. He is also member of China Artists Association, secretary-general of the printmaking committee of China Artists Association, vice director of the printmaking committee of Guangdong Artists Association, vice director of Shenzhen Artists Association, and president of the Federation of literature and Art circles of Longhua District of Shenzhen. He has curated and juried many exhibitions in China and abroad.

Mehdi Darvishi


Mehdi Darvishi was born in 1988, he lives in Tehran, Iran.
Mehdi is a visual artist and he is graduated in Painting from University of Tehran, Faculty of Fine Arts. His artworks has been made using different mediums such as sculptures, installations and interactive paintings while his main focus has been on printmaking over the last decade. Mehdi’s works have been shown in more than a hundred international and national exhibitions and competitions in more than twenty countries. His works have won some international prizes and are kept in numerous museums and collections in the US, Canada, Australia, Italy, Russia, China, Romania, Serbia, Japan and Iran.

Sona Harutyunyan M.A.


Sona Harutyunyan was born in 1971, she lives in Yerevan, Armenia.
Harutuynyan studied Art history, Classical and Christian archaeology at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, Germany. She worked at the Modern Art Museum in Yerevan, as the Advisor to the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, and as the Head of the Department of Contemporary Art of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia. Sona Harutyunyan founded KulturDialog Armenien in Yerevan (Armenia) in 2012 which disseminates contemporary Armenian art in Armenia and abroad. In 2017, in the frames of KulturDialog Armenien’s activity, for the first time in Armenia, Sona Harutyunyan initiated and implemented the First International Print Biennale, Yerevan 2017, the continuation of which was the Second International Print Biennale, Yerevan 2019.
